Find personal data with Data Map
Scan every connected database read-only and get an inventory of where personal, health and cardholder data actually lives.
Data Map answers a question most teams cannot answer quickly: which columns, in which tables, in which databases, hold sensitive data? It builds that inventory by scanning your own databases — no questionnaire, no spreadsheet.
Running a scan
- Open Data Map from the sidebar.
- Decide whether to include connections marked as production — they are excluded by default.
- Choose Run scan. Each database is opened read-only, walked, and closed again.
What it looks for
Every column is classified into categories such as email address, name, date of birth, phone number, street address, postal code, national ID and passport or driver-licence number, payment details like card number, bank account, IBAN and routing number, health identifiers including medical record numbers and diagnosis codes, plus network identifiers and stored credentials.
What leaves your machine
The values sampled during a scan never leave your machine. What is recorded is the finding itself — the category, the count, and where it was found. The scan connection is opened read-only and forced read-only, so a scan cannot write to anything even by accident.
