Using the built-in terminal
A real shell docked under your work, with a consent step first — and a rule that it never types your password for you.
AddisDB has a terminal panel that docks under the main view, so you can run a command without leaving the app or losing your place. Open it from the View menu or the status bar; it stays visible alongside whichever view you are in.
Consent comes first
This is a real shell with your full account privileges and it is not sandboxed — so the first time you open it AddisDB shows a disclosure and asks you to agree. Nothing runs until you do.
Opening a shell for a connection
Choose “Open for connection” and AddisDB pre-fills the command line for that database’s own client — but it stops there. It does not press Enter, and it never types your password into the terminal. You stay in control of what actually executes.
Working near production
If the connection is marked as production, the panel shows a banner so you know what you are pointed at before you start typing.
