Privacy Policy

Effective July 9, 2026

How we handle personal information for the AddisDB website and our online services. The desktop app keeps your database credentials on your own device.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Cenova Spark LLC ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information in connection with the AddisDB website and our online services (the "Services"). The AddisDB desktop application is designed to keep your database connections and credentials on your own device — see “The desktop app” below.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide: when you contact us, create an account, subscribe, or buy from our store — such as your name, email, message content, and order details. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Account and authentication: we use a third-party authentication provider to sign you in and receive basic profile identifiers (such as your email) needed to manage your account, teams, and access.
  • Shared snapshots and team data: if you use sharing or team features, we store the content you choose to publish or share, and related metadata, so we can provide those features.
  • Automatically collected: basic technical and usage data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected through standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics. We use essential cookies for sign-in and sessions and may use minimal analytics cookies.

3. The desktop app

The AddisDB desktop application stores your database connection details and credentials locally on your device and does not require you to transmit them to us. AI features and other integrations only send data to third-party providers that you configure with your own accounts and keys, under their terms. Optional product features may transmit limited, non-credential metadata as described in the app.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services; process transactions; respond to support requests; send service messages and, where permitted, occasional product updates; prevent abuse and enforce our terms; and comply with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

  • With service providers and subprocessors that work on our behalf — for example hosting, authentication, payment processing, email, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
  • With AI or other third-party providers only when you choose to use an integration configured with your own credentials.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, and safety — and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or other business transfer.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, after which we delete or anonymize it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

9. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.

10. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes take effect when we post the updated policy with a new effective date, or as otherwise required by law.
